The John MacCallum Memorial Park was created in 1994 after the land at the east end of the Island was donated by the MacCallum Family. The Park was used by Island children for swimming lessons for many years. There is an outhouse, a changing-room, several picnic tables, and a big beach. The park is open to the public during the day, but no camping is permitted and no fires. There are no fresh water facilities and all garbage is to be taken home.
